Truer Story: “People Who Died”…The Jim Carroll Band.
This is a good song. I often have days where I want to listen to one song over and over again. Today it’s this one. Jim Carroll’s a pretty interesting guy when you start investigating him. I never even knew The Basketball Diaries was his autobiographical work. I just knew of him as a punk musician and sometimes poet. This is my first time seeing this video…it also was the reason I discovered the connection between Carroll and the movie. Maybe I should see the movie now…I feel like I’m behind in this game. Leonardo Dicaprio was actually cute back then…before he got all bloated.
