Today I was fortunate enough to be able to spend the afternoon in the Whitney with Calder’s Circus, my very favorite of Alexander Calder’s work. With enough childlike qualities myself to keep entertained for several hours in the show, I also got to watch real kids interact with the exhibition and assist them in making their own Calder-esque sculptures.
