Truer Stories
Truer Story: I just tried a Neti Pot for the first time.

HOLY COW…that felt weird.  I was not aware that I should prepare to have the salty water flow out of my opposite nostril…totally was not prepared for that part. I am glad no one else had to watch it happen…could have been a gross scene.

Now let’s see if it can take the “sick as a puppy” part out of me…

I’m waiting….

STILL waiting…

I wish I had a dog that looked like an Ewok right now to distract me from all of this waiting…

Truer Story: Being a “Good Human”

While visiting the mighty state of Mississippi, let’s just say I watched some TV.  While I ate my grits, the Today show was on.  Your first thought might be, “WHY!?”  Well, first of all, I let my mom do the choosing and second, I learned one new thing from watching: how to be a Good Human and naturally unclog a drain without using harmful chemicals like Draino.  If you couldn’t tell already, I get very excited about learning new natural remedies.  I have been known to post about my homemade fly traps, homeopathic leg injury cures, and other randomness that you could certainly learn elsewhere on the internet.

Well, people, it works.  First pour some baking soda followed by white vinegar down your clogged drain.  Put a cover over it.  Let it hang out for 30 minutes.  Boil a large pot of water and pour it down the drain.  Presto.  It will now drain…until all your hair clogs it up again.  This is a true story.

Truer Story: I fought the spoon and the spoon won.

As my sinus infection lives on, I have been trying all the natural remedies I can to de-puff my beautiful green eyes.  My regular old eye masks housed in my fridge are just not cutting it.  A new remedy I discovered via eHow tells me that if I use frozen spoons, it will reduce my puffiness “within a matter of minutes.”  I smell BS.  Not only are my eyes still puffy, but I have black and blue bruises underneath them.  Although I take some responsibility for perhaps pressing too hard, I blame the spoons.
